Apple has discontinued the fourth-generation iPod touch and released a cheaper fifth-generation iPod touch. The new 16GB storage model has the same dual-core A5 and 512MB of RAM, but the rear camera has been removed and it is only available in black and silver. There is still a front-facing camera that can be used for FaceTime.
The 16GB storage model costs US$229, which is US$70 cheaper than the previous generation. The 32GB and 64GB storage models still cost US$299 and US$399 and have the same rear camera and colour options as the previous generation.
